Overlooked architectural fragments in Cambridge, MA—gargoyles, trims, and carvings—typically dismissed as background noise are here collected and re-calibrated for contemporary review.
Using high-resolution 3D scanning and CNC fabrication, these minor details are captured, scaled, skewed, and spliced into misfit hybrids. The result isn’t quite preservation, but a playful clash of heritage, ornament, and digital craft—turning edge-condition ornament into something grotesquely front and center.
